Hello, the print view is still standard for us. Escape should still take you out from the find dialog, if not, try Alt/space bar and then arrow down to close, or press the letter C for close. If alt/space bar does not bring up that menu, try control/space bar and press C. Print view is my default, and I believe it is recommended for accessibility. When another view comes up, as sometimes happens, I press alt-control-p to return to print view. As for the find function, you're right, the escape key used to work. In word 2010, it still does for me. I don't know why my having a Win7 machine would make a difference. Perhaps it does.
