Another thing was the payment every 30 days. I am used to being paid every 1 or 2 weeks. I dont feel comfortable waiting 30 days for payment... have others been paid so infrequently?

I don't think net-30 means that you are paid every 30 days. It means you are paid within 30 days of your invoice. If you submit an invoice every week, you'll get paid every week. However, you won't get paid until 30 days after your first invoice. I would be very carefull about getting paid on
