Hello Sonja
There is no easy answer to this question. Platforms as complex as KIM always
come with a complex dependency tree. Apart from that some of the jars in the
lib/ folder are also developed by Ontotext and can not be found in the public
maven repository.
One solution to this would
Hi Yvonne,
In order to use a new ontology it is good to map it to your top ontology
classes.

This is a good guide showing how you can do this.

Hi Mel,
KIM comes with a good set of documentation which will help you. A good place to
start is the Quick Start Guide. It is a short tour through the common process
of using KIM - downloading, installing, setting up, populating, searching .
If you want to customize the information extraction
this available in the public repo or also mention in the
documentation that one has to deploy it manually.

Hi Bonnie
I will try to draw the complete picture in this mail.
It is perfectly true, that you can run KIM with a completely new ontology.
Importing the RDF in OWLIM is only the first part of the process. After this
you will have to make the resources you use for IE aware of the new ontology.
Hi Bonnie,
We are following the discussion and working on the issue. I suggest we
continue this on personal mail to not distract the others. We should be able to
resolve this in the next couple of hours.

Hi Naaman,
We had such issues with abnormal termination of KIM before. This is in cases
when the machine stops or the process is killed with a KILL signal. Just for

Hi Naaman,
Basically, KIM is strong in analyzing news and small documents. That is because
some analyzing resources can't handle big amounts of data. For example the
patterns in the Jape rules, may perform greedy matches, which are very heavy
over large content.

Hi Srecko,
The best way to check what will be filled in the gazetteer dictionary is to run
the KIM server and use JVisualVM to execute the gazetteer query against it.
If you give more context, I can provide some more concrete guidelines. What is
the ontology you are using. What are the

Hi Jeremy,
It is best if you provide a simple standalone class or a test case that works
