We saw many exhibitions where lace was used as a medium/technique for creating
art - quite inspiring, and it would be so good to be able to visit her

The Embroiderers' Guild of America is staging an international exhibition
of contemporary embroidery that features COLOR as its main theme. This is

Today (as my plans to go later in the week were scuppered) I booked a ticket
and went down to London to see the exhibition. Thanks to the mentions on here
I had already bought the catalogue and read it through. It was well worth the
trip. If you cannot get to see it but have purchased the book

distressed at contemporary work (in many media) where the design and the
technique don't suit each other. In the work of these two

One of my friends pointed me in the direction of BBC radio's Woman's hour this
morning as there was an item on the new exhibition Lost in Lace in the UK.
Those of you in the Lace Guild may have seen something in the last couple of
lace magazines on this.
Lost in Lace: New approaches by UK and
provinces of Barcelona, Tarragona, Girona and Lerida in he
North Eastern corner of Spain.
We have just had a lace exhibition in the town where I live on the coast.
On display there were some very nice pieces of lace. Some of the
