Unfortunately, the coin is worth less with the engraving than it would have

I think your best bet is to watch ebay. Save a search term
that has the words lace and doll in it. You may find that
this gives you way more than you wanted, so you can

Archives of Documents Related to Lace which has been put
together by Tess Parrish and Ralph Griswold. The articles
on the website are mixed in with articles about weaving and
textiles, but there is a wealth of information there.

perfect condition. I wonder if there are packaging options
which would withstand the abuses which broke the few that
didn't survive. My point is that perhaps the extra $1.10

I bought a bobbin tree years ago that impressed me with its
simplicity. It is just two wooden triangles made of thin
plywood with a hole drilled in each point. There are three
dowels cut the same length. All fit in a bag that is flat
and takes practically no space when not in use. When you
want
block pillows, bolsters, and travel pillows, I am
still a firm believer in the universal appeal of the flat
cookie pillow. Our guild always recommends this as a first
pillow, because it can be used for so many things, is
inexpensive, and lightweight.

Interestingly, the story is (mostly) about Alencon lace - which is a needle lace.
However, our heroine "invents" bobbin lace, so maybe that's why we see bobbins on the
covers!!

aggresively looking. But it DID catch my attention in the Chrysalis
