Possibly due to merges, I have multiples of the exact same source citation
for many events on an individual - on a very large number of my people.
I'd like to get rid of the duplicates?
Any way other than by hand?
A side question would be if I have to do it by hand is there any way to
select
preferrence.
Thank you,

I understand the problem.
First clear the tag you will be using so no tags are
there.
Go into the Master Source list. Highlight the source
(s) causing the problem.
Choose Show list.
Go to Search Tag?
Tag each person.
You have to do it piecemeal, but I would not want to
be able to remove ALL,
Yep, that's what I'm doing. It's actually a problem with many of my Master
Sources. So, I just tagged everyone in my file with a 1 and am going
through 1 Master Source at a time (working on a subset makes it more
manageable), doing a search on that Master Source and the tag I've chosen.

Is there any easy way to remove duplicate source citations either with

I love the intellimerge feature to sync desktop and laptop data however I

Hi Richard,
I think you do mean what Susan says and if the sources combined were
both attached to the same person, you do end up with two copies of
the same source attached to that individual (and for each and every
event they were attached to).
There is no easy way to delete one in Legacy.
with the identical source bus alas tht was not the case.
