I've lost track - is this Free Passage Express part of the new update
- and has it increased the download size significantly?
I really want the update, but currently on a lousy dialup line and
dread another large download.
Can we be offered the option *not* to downloadPassage Express?

Hi Cathy
Thanks for clarification, glad to hear Passage Express is not part of
Legacy update.

It also seems that when I clicked on the PE button, that it installed the
Legacy version of PE ON TOP OF MY PURCHASED FULL VERSION.

I agree Jack. Hugely underwhelmed with PE too.
After uninstalling I needed to run Registry Mechanic to get my system
running properly.
In fact I'm so cranky about it, I removed the PE icon from my Toolbar!

The real problem is that the data (projects) is stored with the program! How
many times have users complained about the default situation of having data

I tend to agree with with Jacks comments.I found the limited functions

Hi Cathy and others,
If you want to keep everything in your transfer to a new Legacy file, use
the direct transfer. Do not go through the gedcom and import, just export

must be doing something wrong because I can't get the imported legacy

Hi Lloyd,
I said go via Gedcom as with direct Legacy transfer you can only
remove Private material.
You can't remove Research Notes, To Dos, only include Sources marked
for printing, suppress details for living people etc without going
the Gedcom route.
It would be great if we could have

Geoff,
There is something else that needs to be implemented. That is to give
the user the option of where to install PE. I tried it out yesterday
and it installed automatically on my C drive, which is too small (I
have added another much larger drive on which I load programs and keep
data).
Mike and Cathy,
Many thanks for your help. I was looking in the wrong place (Legacy web
site) while all the time it was right in front of me. Duh!
Thanks again,

There is a new button on the toolbar at the top of your screen - round, red,
with PE in center and underneath it. Click
