On reading your message I just selected my Grandmother in Legacy
I just ran the same descendant report and all pictures of individuals
appeared as they should. I even went as far as removing a picture from the
Pictures directory, restarted Legacy and generated the same descendants
report and the picture still appeared, even though it was in a different

After reading all the previous messages about photos, especially the
printing of burial photos, I decided to verify that everything was working
on my end as expected (as did probably a thousand other users). No problems
noted on my end and everything works out as expected. However, I got to the

Legacy 7 may change that.

One band-aid approach is to make a page with Power
Point or create an art work, then scan it. This would
become the preferred 'photo'. Or get a photo from the

Well, your daughter is correct. Legacy stores the path (the location of
the folder on the computer) where each picture is.
You will probably need to do a Backup Multimedia Files - then restore the
multimedia files on your daughters computer. I'm not sure if the Gedcom
transfers the links or
