I went and changed the dates to -0030 and -0010, added the timeline South Africa History -1651. In the timeline was a mention of '-0004-00-00 Birth of Jesus Christ' which got an Error 'Unrecognized date', but my stuff seemed to fly? I was adding various timelines, so I may have the wrong one,

Help please! I tagged everyony in my main db who use one master source. I exported all tagged to a Temp Legacy file. I want to purge the Temp of all but the one master source. Legacy doesn't seem to allow me to do this. Help appreciated. Richard Have you unlocked the real power of Legacy?

Richard: It is not clear what you are trying to do. 1. If you are trying to delete a Master Source, then just go to the master Source (View, Master Lists, Source) - find the source - click on it to highlight then select Options on the right of the Master Source window and select Delete. This

Hi Leon, Thanks for the suggestion but I had already tried that. It results in a popup window telling me Cannot delete source, it is being used.. Apparently I would have to go through and delete all citations first before deleting the master source. I did manage to merge 8 unwanted sources

I used Access to delete unwanted source(s) from tblSR. This, however left me with all source detail on no source. Fortunately Legacy's File Maintenance / Check Repair removed the orphaned source detail. Cory this should work for you too. Thanks to all for suggestions - all OK now. Richard -
