It works between roles in the same event as well as between events. When you create the new role of wife, the default sentences are displayed. Click the Reset/Load button. You can then choose which event (can choose the same event as your current or another one) and which role in that event

If you go to Report menu Other Source Citations you can set up what you want from the Include and Options tabs. One of the options is to Include the source detail File ID. is that what you are looking for? As a matter of interest the Help File for Source Labels points to a Source Labels
