I followed exactly what was recommended for the upgrade without any problem
I also followed exactly the recommended upgrade process, which I've done ever
since v5, specifically by loading the upgrade from within my registered copy of
Legacy, and which is advertised as the preferred method for
Upgrade and update are two different things.
You update a current version through the Updates section on the Legacy Home tab.
You upgrade by downloading the newer version from our website. Once
the newer version is installed, again you'll install updates for that
version through the Legacy Home
I keep My Documents folder in Dropbox and have for a long time. I want
to add that Legacy 8 installed these folders perfectly in Dropbox/My
Documents/LegacyFamily Tree. Thus I have a constant backup it can be
accessed by all my computers.
