Yes, Clipboard is definitely a program within Windows (and has been
there virtually from day one :-)). In Windows XP it is hidden in
C:\WINDOWS\system32 as clpbrd.exe. If you run it from there, it
will show you just what you last copied as its content. However, there
is never any need to run it

This User group is pretty good at responding to emails when someone
knows the answer. I for one don't know what UTF-8 is.
If your current email doesn't get a response, I suggest you email

In the To-Do Report, look at each tab and make the selections you want.
On the Filter Tab you can choose
This category - and choose Book from the list.
Are you saying that you've done that but then only get a list of
repositories? or are you just wanting the list of repositories that
Lou,
This is probably the most helpful and caring users group one could ask for.
I didn't respond because I have no idea as to what it is you want to know. I
am sure someone would have responded if they had felt qualified to do so.

So many posts are warning people away from Access + Legacy that a few
examples of how it can be used might be welcome. As always, back it up

Suppose you are trying to match a census record for John Doe with wife

Hi Ann,
I hadn't thought of doing that.
Go to the To Do List where the To Do you want to print is located -
either the Individual's To Do or the General To Do list.
Choose something that is unique to the To Do you want to print - the
category maybe but tagging is easiest if none of the others

My questions were: Are these currently supported in 6.0? I use 5.0 and
before upgrading, I wanted to know if these items are currently supported in

to be re-written from the ground up and support UTF-8. This

Since they are not in the release notes, and since no one responded to
your original query, then they are probably not in 6.0. I would think

Lou,
I just tested both Version 5 and 6 and they do include the MAP tag
within the custom tag _PLAC_DEFN. This is included if you select Legacy
as the destination of your GEDCOM. If you select Gedcom 5.5 Only then
the only Custom tag included by default is the _UID but the custom

The programmers are in the process of porting over from VB6, which does not
support Unicode, to VB.Net, which does. When that gets done, then Legacy
will be able to accept the unicode fonts. We're probably at least a year

Thanks, Dennis. Yes the Gen'l Info does say I have the DeLuxe edition. I
also shows 0 individuals, 0 families, 0 unique surnames, and 0 Master Souce

I can re-import it so I guess it's no big deal, but I don't want that kind

The Family File is open--and the name of the file is at the top of the
Window.
When I went to C;\Legacy\Data, the file was there but it was only ca1300

As I've said, I can find the file -- there just isn't anybody in it!

True. My general point is that if you don't change any tables, fooling
around with queries can't hurt. Access documentation is OK for simple
ones. I found it
