Well, DVDs actually, but I would recommend to use the tapes - they're
faster and seem to be more reliable. I installed from 3590 tape about a
month ago without a hitch - it only took a few hours. Now

Ranga,
Again we're still looking into this issue
I guess this is a known issue. I understand that both the Quick Install
sheet and the longer Install Guide have been updated to work around the
bug that is on the DVD media.

Yes - you definately want multipathing for I/O intensive things like
databases. At the moment this is usually only done with things like /home
or /opt since thats what the installers support.
The installers dont really support complex root volumes at the moment, but

I am trying to use the YAST certificate Authority and the Server Certificate Import
Tool with SuSE Linux Version 9. I have a certificate and key from a partition on z/OS
running an httpd server. The version of z/OS 1.4, allows the export of the
certificate into a PKCS#12 certificate package.
Have you checked to see if your OSA card is getting
any errors? I've seen this kind of thing happen with
CRC errors on the card.

Hi list,
Has anyone determined the true minimal install on SLES (8/9)? If you
choose minimal install, it seems a lot of the RPMs that get installed
are still unnecesary for zSeries. It would be nice know what RPMs can be
deleted. Thanks.
