Elloh, Are you new to LyX/LaTeX? Do you have experience on LaTeX on command-line and/or text editors? LyX and LaTeX are two separate software pieces and the error you encounter may be a result of faulty LaTeX or LyX installations. It may be a good idea to check if your installations are OK.
