As a recent Lyx convert I hope I am not going over old ground, but I am
looking for tips to get ispell to work with LyX. I have a fully
function LyX 1.15 installation (already the draft of one paper finished
with it - what did I do before I "discovered" Lyx) and a fully

I'm trying to do what (I think) is a very basic thing: Shorten the
vertical spacing between list items. I tried using the setlength command
in the preamble but so far it hasn't worked. This is what I used:
\setlength{\itemsep}{0cm}
\setlength{\parsep}{0cm}
I've tried different values,

The problem is XForms in low color environments (8bit) IMO, try to start lyx

Does anyone know what the current status of a DocBook book is in LyX? I
know only "article" is currently supported, but I thought it had been
mentioned that this was being worked on.

I think I figured it out. It appears to be a shell problem. When I switch

Anybody ever had problems with bash and TeX? Any solutions?

Thanks a lot. It does _exactly_ what I need, has a lot of configurable
options and, in its latest stable version, is a standard tetex (r. 0.9)
package.
