Linux binary segmentation fault

I installed Kayvan Sylvan's lyx 1.1.5 Linux binary on my Slackware 7.0 system, and i get a segmentation fault whenever I have netscape running. In other words if I start up netscape first and then start up lyx I get a segmentation fault. If I start the programs up in the reverse order there is

When trying to import a latex file in lyx I get the following error message: Reading LaTeX command syntax (plan990.tex: Splitting Preamble problem opening plan990.relyx1: Permission denied Exited due to fatal Error! In other words the relyx1 file appears to have the wrong permissions. Can

As a recent Lyx convert I hope I am not going over old ground, but I am looking for tips to get ispell to work with LyX. I have a fully function LyX 1.15 installation (already the draft of one paper finished with it - what did I do before I "discovered" Lyx) and a fully functional ispell 3.1.20

I think I figured it out. It appears to be a shell problem. When I switch from the bash shell to csh, everything works fine. Switch back to bash and the same type of errors pop up. Why is bash having a problem with TeX? Anybody ever had problems with bash and TeX? Any solutions? Kevin Gross

I think I figured it out. It appears to be a shell problem. When I switch from the bash shell to csh, everything works fine. Switch back to bash and the same type of errors pop up. Why is bash having a problem with TeX? Anybody ever had problems with bash and TeX? Any solutions? Kevin Gross
