rather serious. Maybe I'm missing something...a plethora of ads I can live
with, but it sure seems that a line was crossed here.

auctions. Seemed that he was unsure of a ceiling bid and kept putting in more
bids on the same auction, essentially bidding against himself, (did that

Intererstingly, if one goes to Ebay and just put in the words: Columbia
Shuttle there are now hundreds of BRAND NEW auctions all list on Feb. 1,
including--one guy selling 500 In Memorium buttons with a pic of the
shuttle crew, another selling tee-shirts with a picture of the
Russ and List,
Very cool image. I have an image of a pallasite, tiled, as wallpaper on my
computer at work (our Judicial Circuit logo gets boring) so this will be
another welcomed image. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Depending on the locale, it may be a sample of Troctolite or Trout Stone.
Found in just a few places, Poland, Scotland, Montana and Oklahoma, USA,
Harz/Germany.

Stayed up till 3:30am (my co-workers always know why I use a vacation day
after the Perseids :-) Chicago time...waiting for cloud cover to break...it
didn't.
Chicago weather is fickle. The evening sky of the 10th and 11th was

Quick question. Does anyone know how fast desert varnish adheres to a freshly
fallen meteorite? (days, months, years?) I'm sure there are a number of
variables, such as Western United States dry lake beds -vs- NWA's. Is there a

thermal imaging -- in sand dunes. I have searched dry lake beds with some
success, and a few blow-out areas. However, living in Illinois, it takes time
and expenses to travel to Nevada, New
