Yeah I'd love that, especially since I've never known what to do
with HID.
Side note: I really appreciate your work on the wiki. I worked a
little bit on it a long time ago and had similar hopes for
reorganization but as usual got overloaded.
You're
HID mapping documentation is sorely lacking. It'd be great if someone
started a new page with an HID crash course and an explanation of how to
map HID signals with JS.

I reorganized the controller mapping documentation into smaller pages
that link to each other. I created the new pages "Controller mapping
file locations", "Contributing mappings", and "MIDI crash course". I
also revised the "MIDI controller mapping file format" page and added an
XML crash
I reorganized http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/compiling_on_linux and
removed legacy information.

I updated http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/getting_involved a bit. At the
bottom, it says to contact Adam Davidson, who I don't think has been
around for a long time, about donating hardware. What should it say
there? Post to the mailing list?

I added a few details to the Using Git page to help people avoid
confusing issues I had to learn about the hard way.

I also added a section to the MIDI Scripting page suggesting that people
use git for their mappings to facilitate getting them included
I created a page with some links for beginners:

Please add any other links you think are helpful.

I consolidated the FAQ and Troubleshooting pages into one

organized it.
The Latency reduction tips section was really long and I feel that it

Hi! I have been lurking for some time in this mailing list, this is my
first time writing so I just wanted to say: hello!
I am improving the mapping for the Pioneer DDJ-SB that can be found in the
forums and I wasted some time trying to find out how to map the effects
until I found out how well
I added another example to the MIDI scripting page. It'd be nice if
others proofread it.
I split the giant table on the control objects page into subsections.

I have reorganized the MIDI scripting page. I added links to JavaScript
tutorials at the top. I added examples to the bottom that show how to
handle button presses, how to implement modifier keys, and how to
implement deck toggle buttons. Hopefully we'll see more people turning 2
deck mappings
Daniel, thanks for adding the Hercules DJ Console RMX 2. Let's keep the
tables sorted by price with discontinued devices at the bottom. Also, if
you add a controller with an integrated sound card, add the details of
the sound card to the table towards the bottom.

I can confirm that the Allen Heath Xone K2 soundcard works with linux.
I've already edited the wiki.

the mappings do regardless of what the hardware was designed for. So,

Hi,
waooh, great !
I corrected informations about Hercules DJ control MP3 e2.
I'm not sure to understand the difference between Mixxx Certified

distinction is not relevant anymore as most of them are bundled within

I have overhauled the hardware compatibility page. It should now be way
more useful to new users considering what hardware to buy. It is quite
apparent that there are not many supported devices that are still
commercially available.

This is great that you're doing this. Except:
* mark which hardware is discontinued and remove most discontinued

Much of the hardware I removed from that list did not sell very much and
is so old that it's not even available on eBay anymore. Some of them are
not even meant for DJing (such as Korg controllers).

ok, in this case, who in the core team did review the new 4-deck
compliant mapping for Hercules DJ control MP3 e2 that I wrote ? ;)
(or maybe you already consider me as a core team member ? I am
