Cell Phone != Alphanumeric Pager Lots of cell providers simply don't provide IXO/TAP service. And, as you point out, e-mailing to an e-mail address is all well and good unless your report is Core Router Down, then you might find out about it, several times, after you've repaired it. :-)

Well, if you're just trying to send it via e-mail, you can send it like any other e-mail message. Nagios basically injects its e-mail into its local MTA on that box, which is configured however you set it up (and that's a little outside the scope of this list, but relaying to offsite
