drawing ANY conclusion from that small a sample is
unreliable.

Read the article in docs/FAQ on switched networks.
Also read up on the -m | --local-hosts switch. But off-hand, sounds like
you need either to invest in a better switch or re-think your
layout.

actually that patch is slightly broken as well ... at first glance i thought
they were all AC_ARG_ENABLE()
can someone list the requirements for the plugins dir in terms of what is
supposed to be installed ? all those hack rules can probably be cut out with
proper autotool rules, i just need to know what exactly needs to be done ...
