of Horned Larks by the second parking lot on the way to Crookes Point in Great
Kills park on Staten Island today at around 10;30 AM. I submitted an eBird
report with a poor photo.

Meadow Loop passes closest to the Sound a very confiding Lapland Longspur

City), a Lapland Longspur was seen & photographed late this morning. I
did not discover it, another birder checking the island just before I

I have encountered this same type of absurd aggressive behavior from
them in the same area, but it was also a few years ago. I've thought it
might be a particular superior officer who encourages this harassment.
On another occasion, in freezing weather, kids were doing wheelies in
their cars
Not so with the NYS Park Police. But their days may be numbered. 'bout time.

A Lapland Longspur was with 30 + Horned Larks at the Coast Guard Station,
had relocated from the median.

There was just a Lapland Longspur traveling with a flock of about 20 Snow
Buntings in the Field 7 parking lot at Hecksher State Park.
The flock is very mobile and the blustery conditions seem to be keeping them on
the move. They were last seen heading west toward Field 6.

After a whole day looking for a longspur in orange cty this past Monday with no

Sue Feustel found a Lapland Longspur feeding with a small flock of Horned Larks
at the east side of the Field 6 parking lot near the playground equipment at
Heckscher State Park around 3:30PM this afternoon. Eventually the flock took
off and headed east. I arrived about a half-hour later and

Joined by friends Chase Cammarota and John Dunican, we decided to take a
walk down to Democrat Point from RM Field 2. The first bird of interest was
a PURPLE SANDPIPER hanging out on the jetty at Democrat. We then made our
way down toward the peninsula when we discovered a single LAPLAND LONGSPUR

Sorry for the late report, but there was a single Lapland Longspur at
Floyd Bennett Field yesterday afternoon. It was within a flock of 22
