It is illegal to park, walk or stand on any part of the parkway. That being
said many people are doing just that to see the bird. The police only come
by every so often and clear out the people and the cars. If this bird
continues in the area police presence may increase.

When I was there this morning state troopers were moving birders from the
median. Just so everyone understands the situation, there is a 2 lane highway

Recently, I participated in bird walks with well-known Eastern birders.
On these walks, the leaders cited the 'fact' that only female Carolina Wrens
make the 'comb' call. I have never heard this observation before so I began
checking all the references I could find in my home library

The Varied Thrush was seen during the morning (9AM-12PM) in the same area
where it has been during past days. Around noon, there were several hawks
flying or perching next to the bathroom area, where the Varied Thrush has been

My wife Amy and I are planning a trip to search for some boreal species,
especially Spruce Grouse and Bicknell's for this weekend and next week. We are
planning to visit Whiteface memorial Highway and Adirondacks points and I was
hoping for some help. Are there any consistent places for Spruce

I want to attempt sighting of the Swallow-tailed Kite that has been at
Wallkill, tomorrow.
Did anyone on the see it yesterday? {tuesday} - Please reply either to

If anyone knows who salvaged the Thick-billed Murre that was found dead on
the ice at Hempstead Lake SP back on January 10th of this year, or if you
