Do you want something basic? That is to say, something that just plays
MP3 files without any thrills or anything like that? Are you able to
use a CD Player? Well if the answer to these questions is yes and you
don't have all that much money to spend then the Ipod Shuffle is

Hi Vinni,
Go into Gold Wave, Hit control+O and open the wav file.
Hit Alt+F and down-arrow to save As and press enter.
You will be in the filename field.
Press tab and you will be in a field where you can choose the file type.
Press down-arrow until you find the file type you want.
I hit it
It is Control F9.

Are you looking for an off the shelf MP3 player or one designed
specifically for the blind? The Victor Stream has been talked about
recently. I think it's by HumanWare, and it was designed especially for
the blind. If that's the one you're talking about, someone else can
provide more
Hello James,
I haven't really noticed these issues since Skype 3.6, but it is possible I
may have missed something, or there are specific circumstances causing it to
happen. Have you gotten a response from Netralia yet?

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I noticed I made a typo in the
attached post. The Rockbox software was not designed especially for the
blind. It has some eyes free features built into it which make it
accessible for the blind, but it was not designed especially for the
blind. Sorry for the

Hello everyone,
I to am looking for an MP3 player.
But I not only need and wanted to be assessable, I need and wanted to play
any audio file type.
I will be offloading lossless audio files on to it, so the hard drive in
this MP3 player has to have a lot of hard disc space.
Any suggestions?
Hello, I'd like to get some music from ITunes, since they seem to sometimes
offer exclusive tracks. Is the program accessible with Windows XP and Jaws
7? I don't have an IPod or anything like that, and would only want to burn
the downloaded tracks onto an audio cd, since that seems pretty
Try Gold Wave, since your space is limited, it may be the easiest solution.
You might want to try out a free solution, cdex, available from:
http://www.jfwlite.com/programs
which can record from your computer directly into mp3 format. If you're
going to make CDS from those, I'd record to *.wav
As far as I'm aware, scripts are available for JAWS to make it
acessible. Regarding other Screen Readers for Windows XP? Watch this

What do you mean by any file type? I'm no expert, but I doubt you'll
find an MP3 player that will play absolutely any file type. I know you
can get MP3 players with large hard drives, in the order of 60GB and 8GB
drives, that will work with Rockbox. I suspect they'll support most file
types,
