I would have thought you'd only be offered Sound Forge 10, and maybe 9 for a
time now.
The cheaper package is Sony Sound Studio, or some such name like that, and
sells for the price you mention. It's a cut down version of Sound Forge of
course, but does much of what S F does only limited to
You need to use the arrow keys. Up and down alter the zoom level which
determines how far you move with the left and right arrows, when navigating
the file. Control left/right arrow moves you to the next marker, if I am
remembering rightly. I'm pretty sure you use tab to select, just like you

I use sound forge 7 on a regular basis.

Hello, not being a Window Eyes user, I can't help with Sound Forge's
interaction with that screen reader, but what sort of problems are you
having navigating the screen? There are scripts for Jaws made by Jim
Snowbarger, and there may be scripts to add equal functionallity with Window
Eyes,
Have you bought SF?

My guess is you simpy haven't installed the noise reduction plug-in which is
why it's greyed out. It is probably a separate download or on another CD if
you have a CD version of SF.

You want to press the letter L to fast forward in Sound forge. That will
speed the sound up. You can tap L several times to speed the sound up
further, depending upon how you have it set as far as speed is concerned in
the prefferences.

Tap the letter L more than once instead of F, and you'll get the results you
want. Incidentally, if you ever need to listen to a file quickly in
reverse, you can tap J a couple of times to speed it up going backwards.
The letter K will stop your fast forward movement, and the cursor, if

Hi,

Yes, it's I for in, or the starting marker, and O for out, for the ending
marker. Also remember that if you use control shift K, you'll hear upto the
cursor position, so that it plays a bit before you've stopped, so you can
hear exactly where you are, and where you're about to mark in or out..
