Hi Joanne, I use Total Recorder, and it meets all my needs. If you have trouble connecting to the streams, make sure your recording parameters (button to in main dialog) are okay. The recording source must be software whereas from an externally connected device like a hifi amplifier would be

Hi, I'm using an audigy zs and when I use the system volume controls to go into the play setting and set the speaker balance to 50 percent it goes back to zero as soon as I exit the volume control. All of my other settings are being preserved. Has anyone seen this? Thanks, Judy

I don't know if they still make it or not, but I have a compact flash MuVo from Creative Labs. I got it a year or two ago. It has 256M of flash space. It has no display, so it's obviously quite accessible. It also doesn't come with or need any PC software to transfer the files to the MuVo.

Okay, first of all don't install the firm wear on the archos that comes w/ the unit, that's not acessible. Rockbox isv very accessible, I've used my player w/ it and w/o it. Its easy to install. If you go to their web site there is a FAQ for blind users. I have the Archos studio 20 recorder.
