I assume the Turtle Beach card is connected via USB. If you plug it in while the computer is already running, it will probably take over all audio functions. What you need to do is either plug it in before you boot or alternatively reboot after plugging it in. If you are doing this and still have the problem, please let me know and I'll see what else I can suggest. Hey, Barry. Yes, I've done various variations of these things, but things still get weird. Sometimes I can't get any audio only to find out that somehow the volume has dropped from 100 per cent to alm nothing. Very odd. So, if you have any other tricks up your sleeve, lay 'em on me! Smile. Hi, this might be similiar in cause? I am running Audacity with a new casset to PC device. Now when I plug in my casset Grace device it shuts down or takes over all sound in my com. I do recored by hitting R and after the tape runs through, I then unplug the USB cassett recorder from com and my sound goes back on. I then save the cut or file. So is there a way around this or what is making the device shut off my sound? This would be nice if you or someone out there could assist in fixing this. Take care and thanks a ton!
