Why inferior?
A couple of poor pictures that try to illustrate the stabilizer feature. Shot
in low light at f/2.8
About the SR test shots: Are they shot at the wide or at the long
end. If
wide, it's pretty good. If long, that's very impressive.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that; the first was shot wide (7.9mm)
and the second at 13.7mm (the long range is 23.7mm).

My original OptioS died a couple of weeks ago, leaving me without a
pocket sized camera.
I was anxious to try out the A10 as a replacement. I stopped by my
local camera store, thinking they would not have it yet, intending to
have them call me when they arrived.

I can make a few initial observations. I like the way the camera's
controls and menus are organized. Pentax seems to have a found simple
approach to this that many of the manufacturers have missed.
The big LCD panel is very nice. I spent a few minutes

when it appeared yesterday.
