How about a monopod?
a monopod when properly used (i.e. firmly planted and pushing down

I tested the K10D when I first got it, and decided to leave SR enabled
when on the monopod. Since I'm panning on
I leave shake reduction on all the time. (It's a menu item on the
K-7.) I did the same on the K20, for the most part. The cameras don't
seem to care.

Really nice. Monopods work better than many give them credit for. I
bet they would be even better with a a remote shutter release.

Last night was the first night of Bikes, Blues, BBQ 2010. I braved the crowds
and noise to shoot Strange Heros, a friends band. Shots were done with my K-7,
21, 40, 70 Limited, and DA16-45, on a monopod. I have never had much luck using
a monopod but was pleasently surprised how these came

How big an event is Bikes, Blues, BBQ attendance-wise? Judging by the
web site, it looks like a pretty sizable event.
