Re: PESOs (3) - Acropolis
Thanks, Dan and Alan. A couple of colleagues who had been to Athens before had warned me about the decay, dirt, and graffiti. We were very pleasantly surprised—the place has been cleaned up remarkably in the last few years. Rick http://photo.net/photos/RickW > On Jun 14, 2017, at 9:44 AM, Daniel J. PESOs (2) - View from the Acropolis
One of the interesting things about Athens is that there are no tall buildings. By law, they are at most 5 or 6 stories, which makes the city seems vast and preserves wonderful views. https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/Athens-2017/View-from-Acropolis/i-TwNK8WG/A https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/Athens-2017/View-from-Acropolis/i-g6mSfGR/A The peak is the 300-meter Lofos Likavitou, atop which is a chapel, a cafe, and a theater. I wanted to climb it but time ran out. (K-5, DA 16-45 and 50-200) Comments appreciated.
