A week ago I was at a dance workshop called the Mean Old Frisco Blues,
which happens to also be the name of a song. The music was excellent,
they started out with one of my favorite bands for dancing, and each
night the musice was even better than the last.

Orbital ATK was supposed to launch an Antares supply rocket this evening
at 7:40pm EDT from Wallops Island, VA going up to the ISS.
It was supposed to be visible here in North Carolina. There's a high
bridge near my house that gives me a low horizon to the northeast, so I

Looking at the data it's about a 2.4 stop push, so about ISO 4000, and it' s a
tight crop. I shot some at f8 that are more like ISO 1000, but I like this one
better.

updating to Sierra but I did a search today and found that CS5 is not
officially tested/supported on Sierra. It seems lots of people are having

I have a late 2014 iMac running Sierra. I mainly use Lightroom but I
haven't had any problems with photoshop. I have the subscription
versions so they are the latest.

Dave,
I understand your fear... ;-)
This path your are using defeats the purpose of shooting RAW. in that
case, as Cotty has suggested, - just shoot JPEGs.
If you want to benefit from the RAW while using LR, you might consider
using a DNG converter from Adobe.
So, your work flow would be:

program is not supported by 10.6.8, however i will try again.
As far as shootoing jpg i have the filter set for a red filter B and
RAW so i can have B*W and colour should i need it. I guess thats where
i'm messing up some what

Due to my resistance to upgrade my OS i am having to resort to using
Silky Pix to work on my RAF files from the X30. Its a pain system but
for doing a few shots its ok. However this last week i was up north
doing fall colours and some ATVing and have 120 to process. I started

What is your resistance to upgrading your system to latest OS? Is it a hardware
compatibility issue or ?
Presuming you have compatible hardware, there's no real negative to upgrading
macOS to the latest version.

lighting and timing nailed at this point...
To me it would be as much torture as shooting a wedding.

The thing is if you can do THIS kind of shooting, you could do
party/event photography with ease... better you than me, on that score,
but you
could use your stuff from these dance events to show what you can

iOS10.0.2, OS 10.11.7, LR 6.7 (Camera RAW 9.7), Apple Watch 3.0
I have seen no issues with upgrades the last few cycles.
I am disturbed by UI design changes in iOS10 and in the Watch 3.0. And I don’t
like the Adobe subscription model. But I have seen no compatibility issues on
my way to this

Shoot off an email to their tech support and ask if they're working on a
Mac version of the firmware updater for Pentax K-1.
If not, find someone who has a windoze computer you can use for a few
