They finally called me. The K-1 was a demo at a camera store in
Columbus, OH. It has about 4K actuations. Still on warranty.

That's because the k-1 was in development for far longer than the k-3.
To be perfectly honest the k-3's USB speed is hardly much faster than
USB2 anyways.

Wow, those are so perfect that they don't even look real, or maybe it's
the Velvia colors that make them look unreal...

Ask if they'll give you a 30 day money back guarantee?

There are a lot of rumors swirling they will introduce a mirrorless
system with a new mount this year. Don't give up hope just yet.

Let's have 802.11ac speed & multi-point Bluetooth.
Add to this a wifi/bt ssd in your pocket to receive the images from the
camera.
And a nice dashboard tether.
And ... why not just add another processor for

It was a fun day! -
But my list mail problems are still gong on.. your mail came through ..
but out of 22 messages dated 1/13/17 in the archives only 6 showed up in
my mail box.
temporarily I can look at stuff in the archives , but I normally keep
all my outgoing mail that is in response
At that price there's little risk.

I'm really of two minds about this, I'd love to have an advanced flash
without paying an arm and a leg for it, but reputation for reliability
is lacking and this just smells like a scam

I haven't given up hope but, like those who moved on to other brands
because the Pentax full frame took so
Most "classic" Pentax lens optics show serious fringing on DSLRs. The new
lenses are far better. Some primes would be fun, but zoom technology has
advanced to the point where developing primes is somewhat impractical. I
suspect that the D FA 150-450 is superior to any 300 or 400 mm prime Pentax
Yup.

I've always used a hacksaw.

Cheers,
Those water taxi shots were very well composed & shot Ann.
The empty benches and the trees tell a beautiful story.
I always shoot in rapid fire mode from my K-5 IIs while on a boat.
This ensures at least one shot will be sharp & well focused in the middle.
Perhaps AF-C may also help.
Regards.
Funny, I always thought that Cotty was the torch and pliers type...

Interesting, Pentax, (well Ricoh I guess), has so made such a hash of
it's naming convention that I can't even guess if it's a successor to
the K-7/5/3 line or a successor to the K-30/50/70 or something out of
left field like the K-S1. I say that they've done this to build buzz
and keep us
