IIRC, it made the trip in a little over three hours. It would be doable
flying east to west, with the time zones working for you. I think NYC is
5-6 hours behind Paris.
Going the other direction, it's already lunch time in Paris before you
even finish breakfast in NYC.

All I have to say is how obnoxious was he? I've only been forced to
check carry on luggage once, and that was in France. Still, a really
awful performance on the part of American Airlines. Makes me glad I
don't fly
