obviously will cause dragg let alone strain on the spring. The spindle must
be slightly bent. Is this fixable, and I suppose it is? Your commments

I'd swap out the turntable before I condemned the spindle. Shafts can be
straightened but I would think it would be easier to install a replacement
unless it is a very rare machine with an unusual motor.

turntable on the spindle? Bent spindles are pretty rare. Who makes the

You might try this, as it has worked for me: Rotate the turntable and find the
low point - GENTLY but firmly raise up on the turntable from the low point and
see if it straightens out. Just a thought...

That was pretty much the end of the story. I ended up re-restoring the machine
and it came out reasonably nice. The reason I shared that whole exchange was it
simply had to be read to be believed. I was stunned at the lack of rational
thinking, denial of responsibility, and borderline
So once again, eBay's Resolution Center proved to be the pathetic, worthless
joke it always is? I have never had even one single claim be met with anything
but form letters and messages from the utterly confused, much less resolved.
