device that can be recorded and the device supplies the audio stream

Just to update everyone on this I have been in touch with the BBC
about this change, but I've yet to get a meaningful reply. At the
moment, I'm still at the This is how you use iPlayer stage with its

Hi,
I am enjoying my Squeezebox and the Last.fm Squeezescrobble plugin.
However, my wife and kids are enjoying it, too.
It would be nice to have a feature to select a local account (ideally
with a password or a pin) when I switch on the box that is linked to a
(or no) last.fm account. I do not

Not really.
The good thing is you can start playback from the app itself because it
has some basic library browsing.
The downside is that I could not make it play with security on so it's
not really an option for remote use.

I know but the OP has installed 3.9b1 which comes as a plugin.
I'll need to look at the jnlp files.

I spent a few weeks writing the plugin, that and to start to learn how

cparker, do you plan to fully support the SugarCube plugin on the SC 7.4

is interest in keeping it
OK, it's becoming a little clearer. First I needed to install
SqueezeCentre 7.3.4, now done this morning. Sorry but I hadn't tried the
Squeezebox proper and then discovered that I needed to update SC.
Then used the Extension Downloader to get Community SoftSqueeze and it
shows up in the Extras

- should update data every 15min
In my opinion this is to heavy, most datasets are only updated twice a
day, though this obviously depends where you obtain your datafeed. So
you are causing traffic for the provider for no reason. One check per
hour makes sense
Again problems reading the jnlp file which is in XML.
I have seen something similar on Windows caused by security s/w.

Please try the latest 7.4 - the bug which prevented favorites being set
for iPlayer has been fixed.
(This only existed in the default web skins, but I guess most users
don't know that there are any other web skins so I shouldn't have said
this...)

Since I installed 7.4, decided I really didn't like it and reverted back
to 7.3.3 my alarms have stopped working. They seem to be playing, but
they are silent. My alarms use my BBC Radio 4 iPlayer favourite.
If I choose to play the Radio 4 playlist favourite directly however it
plays just fine.
Don't know I am afraid - not looked at 7.3 for a long time... In
general I think 7.4 will be more stable with iplayer. What caused you
to go back?

You are right, this fixed it.
Philip,
Now that I've just lost my playlist for the second time... Did you
figure out any workaround for this?
