I may well be wrong about importing having problems with length. There does seem to be a problem, but I now think it is with a space in the file path. Even with a short path, I got an error importing when the file name or the path to the file had a space in it. I tried both with the space as

On Suse Importing a file with a space in the name (e.g Cla ssical.m3u ) worked OK without any need for an escape. I prefix the path with file:// so test file became file:///home/temp/Cla ssical.m3u What is the full path that you are tyring ? -- bpa

Lots of points. In 6.5 AlienStreams and some of m3u support was within AlienBBC. The import facility is now part of SC7 and so any bugs are part of SC7 and need to reported as such. I think the Alienstream feature in AlienBBC was implemented to provide support for hierarchical lists of URLs

Look at the .pm file itself. I believe you will find a line saying something like (I am not sure of exact syntax) my $default = 900 This sets the power off to 15 minutes (900 seconds). Just change it to your preference. It does mean that you have to decide overall the time, you can't do it
