I have the latest iPeng on iphone 5 with latest iOS.I had to install
a new router in my house. After that, iPeng doesn't find my players.
It no longer automatically finds my LMS server either, but it gives me
the chance to enter it in the settings. Playing from the server to the
players
Yes, the iphone is on wifi. Running a network scanner from the iPhone
(inet or fing) finds the computer running LMS as well as both players.
I wonder how ipeng identifies players as players? Does it use
information from LMS?
By the way, after reinstalling iPeng, and entering the server
Thanks for the suggestion to try to connect from the iPhone to the LMS
web server; that didn't work either, and that tipped me off to the
problem. The anti-virus/anti-vandal software on the computer with the
LMS server had blocked the (new) ip address of my iPhone, as a result of
the iPhone
be functionally equivalent to the volume
up/down buttons on the remote control, and which would result in sending
volume up/down signals to the preamp or amp.
Thanks.

if this was the intention, but in any case, I don't get
this (desirable) behavior.
Nevertheless, it is remarkable that the plugin works as well as it
does. Thanks to the author!

I tried to install both (but not together of course) airtunes2 and
airtunes2W plugins on LMS 7.9.0 on os x 10.7.5. Neither seemed to
work. In particular the LMS server log contains the line:
avahi-publish-player not in path (for both versions of the plugin.)
Do I have to install avahi

I previously commented that sharitunes2W works on my os x installation
of LMS, after some initial glitches which are unimportant.
Now what I find is that I can redirect output from several apps on iOS
on my iPhone to my squeezebox player ("Transporter").
Also I can redirect output from iTunes
It was recently working for me on mac os 12.6.1, LMS version 8.2.1,
and a recent version of shairtunes2. After update to shairtunes2
version 1.0.13, it no longer worked with either LMS 8.2.1 or 8.3.0.

Thanks, it's an M1.

I got myself into a slightly deeper impasse with this. Out of
curiosity, I set the processor type to x86. Now I can't even access the
preferences to set it back to M1. Removing the plugin and re-installing
it (from the plugins manager page) d
I took a chance and updated the OS to Ventura, macos 13.1.
Shairtunes2w is still working for me, with LMS 8.3.1, in native M1
architecture.
What I don't dare doing however, is even trying to open the preferences
in the Shairtunes plugin. Somehow i got the preferences set right in
all my
I tried today's new version 1.0.15. I got the same result, same error
messages in the log file. I did set the helper file to arm64 in the
preferences (for macos M1).
Moreover, I have somehow once again got into the situation where the
preferences are no longer accessible through the web

Wow! LMS 8.4 also works for me, but oddly it emulates x86 architecture
on my M1 machine.

It seems that when LMS is upgraded to version 8.3.x on macos, it also
used perl5.34 (and/or possibly a custom version of perl from the LMS
team)

I'm grateful for what you have done. It looks like a heroic effort to
me.
Shairtunes *is already* working with M1, but only with LMS
