I don't know if sH can affect this, but put a std 8049 in there.
It cannot be the ROM I guess, but worth replacing that as well.
Assuming I can still find it - I have got one somewhere, but WHERE :-(
Also re-seat the Aurora plug-in chips.
Will try that, of course. I have used Arnold's

The actual RomDisq genesis was when Sturat and I were in Eindhoven. I
brought a compact flash designed for the Z88 (I designed the pcb and
build it). We talked about the RomDisq on the way back to UK (train and

Ah, even the mostrecent manual on your website only lists up to ROM4
(not that I'd ever need more).

Glad Mplane is not the problem and that RomDisq has rescued you.
Looks like something is generating interrupts which the Aurora is
acting upon for some reason.
There must be something wrong with the Aurora I guess.

Ah this is better.
Try removing Mplane - to eliminate it.

Bet you 2 things, though:
1) You thought I was dead or something :)
2) You never read that part of the manual :)
1) Good to know you are still alive and listening in.
2) I did read the manual 9 years ago and forgot about it.
I guess the fact that all is OK if you *remove* qubide eliminates
Mplane
as a source of the problem. All the pins on the Mplane expansion
port
are connected together, so moving qubide about makes no odds.
Hmmm, not quite all OK, just different without Qubide, hence my email

Anyone successfully using floppy disks under SSMQ/E v3.13 on Super
Gold Card?
There was an earlier thread about this problem - it only appears
related
to DSDD disks so far as I could tell - possibly if you reset the
computer
and then try a HD disk you should be ok, or use FLP_DENSITY H -
