The bug, is not that it does not work with Romdisq, but it does not read the external roms (all of theme). SMSQ/E versions that have this problem do not even work with QUBIDE or other hardware add-ons. Hi all, thanks for your attempts to help. But no more please, I ran out of time I can spend with the GoldCard. Changed that QL to SuperGoldCard, where the latest SMSQ/E 3.31 "aurora.bin" works with RomDisQ. Thanks Bob for confirming this difference to "goldcard.bin". Thanks to you and Derek, I found out that your 3.13 "SMSQ.GOLD" was identical to 3.13 "Aurora.bin", both 255664 bytes long. That one crashes during boot on both GoldCard QL and Qemulator. The 3.13 "Gold.bin", 227694 bytes long, does not crash. But unfortunately it kills the RomDisQ, just like 3.17. So I am not any further. Probably need an even older version. I tried the official site, but I found only the current version. This was my next problem. ROMdisq compatibility of SMSQ/E must have broken much earlier than in the 3.31 version! In SMSQ/E 3.17, which was at least able to boot on my GoldCard, ROMdisq was already dead. Are older SMSQ/E binaries stored somewhere? Hi Peter, Maybe different from your config but on my SGC+Aurora+QL, SMSQ/E 3.31 starts fine with aurora binary.
