Ancient would be my favorite, Eudora Pro 3.03
It locks up when run on Win ME now and then requiring a reboot, otherwise
simple and flawless.
Eu 4 has too many features for me.

Don't know about ancient Lite, Ode, but as an oldie now prone to what one
of my 80 year young neighbours calls Seniors Moments, it works a treat
for me in EudoraPro 6.2 .
I had Norton on one and Mcaffe on another computer. IMO The free grisoft
product beats the hay out of both of them put together.

I have to agree with you re. the Mac. My wife and I have each owned one or
other of these machines for over twenty years and regularly clock up over
200 hours a month on the net. So far we've never seen a virus and from what

Put a battery back up on each of your machines and your modems will last
longer. They get it from lightening strikes through the phone lines, if
you are on dial up and could come through a cable modem as well. The
battery back up delays the surge long enough for the unit to shut off

Thanks for this advice. I'll look into what's available locally.

Eudora has excellent storage and search functions. I use it at work as well

I wouldn't, I would get a copy at a discount and install it myself, should be
less
expensive. If they install it, you might not even get the disk. However, I
would
make sure I have Norton or another antivirus on the system however it is done.

I don't think so. I got advice and suggestions on the OT list and am now

that right) and test my system regularly. All of these are easier to use
