Ed, I have a skybird from Ray Hayes I don't fly much anymore. It has all the servo's and a futaba receiver. It has flaps instead of spoilers which work really well on this airframe. Never been wrecked. The kit is about $300.00 so I would let it go for that. Let me know if you have interest.

The lag argument is well...goofy. I have heard the Heli guys say they notice a difference, which actually makes some sense. The Heli is far more susceptible to lag than perhaps any other radio controlled device. I have also heard the IMAC guys say they notice a difference. Maybe they do...but

It's probably over kill but I use metal in EVERYTHING regardless of its place on the plane. When your dealing with an airframe that costs $1200, $1500, $1800+ the difference cost in the servo is miniscule. Even on my built up stuff I have far too much time into them to have an equipment
