You're right, but for now it's for pretty much all mode. Was just wondering
since we can call

But now that you mention this, maybe I should set the mode from siAll to
siCustom and set the Callback on that one. Although I'm not quite sure how
to do that yet. Any pointers would be appreciated!
siCustom would mean you get a menu item under 'realtime'. in there you can
render the entire scene as you see fit, then render your stuff too. if you
want the user to be able to see the content in just one viewport then this
is ideal

Hey Stephen,
If you're ever looking for some new ways to visualize data on your blog, I
just stumbled upon this http://selection.datavisualization.ch/
Maybe there's one or two there that interest you.

The 3dmastermind training is still quite useful since the rigging tools and
techniques haven’t changed much and also shows some good animation tricks.
Couple that knowledge with modern toolkits like Gear or Species and you can
Hay Chris look forward to seeing the results.
here's the test that i spat out using meshlab to importa renamed XYZ data

Yeah, I have to say I was very impressed with the skin of the mage chick at
the end, kind of wondered if there were a handful of plates blended in and

That makes a lot of sense, and probably more suitable as well. Will give

Thanks Steven!
Hi Steven
Tried the reparent method for X and managed to compile and link it on
centos6.2,
the app and widget are created on the plugin side, the anchor is parented
to the app handle (or at least doesn't tell me that it's failing)
The thing is that the show method doesn't raise the dialog that I
i need to double check with jo, but i thought the lisenter wasn't
necessary. it was an incomplete attempt at implementing the key events in
cpp. the python code in qt_events.py handles the key events using a
softimage key up/down event and forwarding it to the qt app.

its a key event inside softimage. if a widget is in focus we stop softimage
from getting it and send it to qt. so if there is no qapplication running,
its passed through. if there is one, it tests if its focused.
i wouldn't worry about that until the damn thing shows parented under
softimage
While marking sets kinda suck, some times you need parameters to be flagged
as keyable for technical reasons, but not necessarily something that gets
aggressively/artistically keyed.
If nothing in your current pipe/workflow requires that, at this point in
time I'd just drop marking sets for
