The closest thing in Softimage related to realtime shading is probably Slipstream from Exocortex. On the Max side there is the realtime preview in FumeFx (Sitni Sati, http://www.afterworks.com/FumeFX/GPUPreview.asp?ID=3a) and I believe Phoenix (Chaos Groups,
