I don't have any experience with the Wyse products, but have used Sun Ray for many years. We probably have the simplest set up going, a server, and a few Sun Rays. The server runs Solaris, and we don't use Windows virtual machines or anything like that. In this config, I find it hard to believe

The alternative I can think of would be a simple X Terminal, I like X Terminals as they work on pretty much every UNIX ever, and some other OS like OpenVMS. I have had trouble with them though, compared to Sun Rays with fonts, as the X Terminal itself draws text, not just draw an image like the
