I just got an old non-functioning computer from someone.
(a packard-hell). After giving up on trying to make it to work again,
I started taking out parts I could use that were still working.
Among them was an old 250MB hard disk. I hooked it up to my computer
to check it out before formatting it
A colleague gave me a copy of two database files, which he created in
MSWorks for dos. We are both trying to use these files to keep track of our
clients' activities. I do not have a copy of MSWorks for dos, and access

re: VLB/EISA (The ISA EISA VESA question:)
I bought a real mutant (SIS Chipset) motherboard from TC
Computers back when (about 1992).
It's a 486 '66, ZIF socket, with the following 8 slots:
2 ISA, and
6 EISA;

I have another problem. I have long thought about replacing my 80C88-2

Here's another possibility. At least some virus protection software has the
option to scan files while the computer is idle. I forget whether it was a
virus scanner which is part of Windows 95 or a third party product which I

Microsolutions creates these in thier "backpack" line. Warning, though,
they do not offer Linux support, I don't know about other O/Ss so

Go to C:\Dialnet\lynx386\external
ren ftp.bat ftp.whatever
copy wftp.bat ftp.bat
And that seems to do it. Might not be the best way but it

I made a confusion here in my last 2 E-mails, and before anyone points me
that out, I point it myself. Thanks CHad, from reading your message I
realised I was in error. So forget what I told you about the

you might need to have DoubleSpace running on your PC anyway.
From my experience, you do not need drivespace (dunno about doublespace, but
anyway DriveSpace was doublespace with a name change and some minor updates
for MSDOS 6.20), as I was saying you do not
