Todd/John, sorry for the late response. I did go to Hemp Car, but have

UK Tax on ULSD is currently 45.82p per litre
Ergo, tax on biodiesel is also 45.82p per litre
With effect from April 2002, UK government has pledged to reduce tax on
biodiesel to 20p below the rate for ULSD - whatever that is raised/lowered
to in March, 2002 Budget.

The only way you will make methanol out of hemp is to pyrolise the straw and
distil out.
Unless anybody knows different?
You can crush the oil out of the seed (content about 20ish%) and then use
the methanol to produce biodiesel, but this is not a very efficient way to
use hemp - it has too many

Hello,
I am new to this list and am eager to become involved in the
discussions. If anyone can recommend resources (preferably online)
that offer information on the current state of Ethanol in Asia,
including legislation/regulation, feedstock, supply, etc. I would
greatly appreciate it.
What would the costs be to produce methanol from hemp?

For small amounts look at a model shop. It's used as a model fuel.
You can order it online from the model shop list under chemical
