Keith,
If you want a more permanent means of predator dissuasion, the Pastore
Maremmano dog is an excellent guard for pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and
donkeys.
It has even been introduced to Middle Island, Australia to protect a
dwindling penguin population:
I had this email from a group working with biodiesel in the Sahel. If
it's true, it seems ridiculous to me.

Hello everybody in the New World and others.
I have an aquintance who is running his Chevy 6,2 litre truck on biodiesel, and
he experiences mysterious engine stops etc. The car will start immedeatly again
after a few seconds. He suspects it to be a computer bug in the injection
system.Anybody
How long ago did he switch to biodiesel and is he running on 100% BD or
a mix?

Ask him if he's replaced his fuel filter since switching to Biodiesel.

Hmmm. I didn't think that computers were introduced till the second or
third year of the 6.5 liter versions. All the 6.2's were mechanical
injection. I've got a friend with a mechanical 6.5 that he runs on B100,
and except for gelling issues in the winter, he says it has always run
fine.
I would agree that it's a fuel supply issue as well. I had the same problem,
but not with biodiesel. (I don't yet have a setup to make any.) I'm not sure

Yep I have the exact same symptoms when I add too much BD to the mix in
cold temperatures. At idle and low acceleration it is fine but when
injection volume is increased ( hill climbing or hard accel) the flow
through the filter can't keep up. It is not clear from you message Jan

Hi Joe,
Yes, Guelph rocks. Almost every year we attend their
organic farmer's workshop series weekend, always
interesting. I love how U.of Guelph keeps in touch
with the local producers.

isn't it?

Two things here. One, we would not be so dependent on commercial
non-native factory farmed honey bees if we were not killing
off native pollinators. Organic agriculture does not use chemicals
or crops
Hello Keith.
He is in Sweden on rapeseed BD. But, as far as I remember, somebody in the
US wrote about some similar problems with his Chevy.

Didn't we already beat this article to death?
However, people are seriously talking about using chicken factories as

i heard this interview on the radio a few days ago. id be angry too. come to
think of it, i AM a little angry. i would prefer to drive or take a boat
though, so they wont really have any way to stop me from travelling if i were
to make my opinions widely public. flying is just too damn costly
if i remember correctly, it was a publicity stunt to prove how versatile the
BD processes really are.

:-) I was more disgusted by the dumb movie than by the liposuction soap though.
Certain Biofuel list members who shall remain nameless were making
liposuction fat biodiesel in 2002, just FYI.
