sure of the exact date of birth but I know he is over 40yrs old and from
Barbados. He is a coach at Austin Pea State University (Tennessee).

Not only that, but he broke his own indoor masters world record of 49.14 set
last 18Feb.
Looks like he could have a shot at the outdoor M40 world record (s) for 400
meters of 47.87 by Manuel Ulacio and a hand-time 47.5 by Lee Evans.

NEW YORK, Feb. 14 -- The National Basketball Association announced today
that Matt Geiger of the Philadelphia 76ers has been suspended without

With a tough, no-nonsense policy like this I'm sure the NBA will soon
completely stamp out the use of illicit drugs of all types!

I'm in full agreement. Cross country - one race, one champion. Beautiful simplicity.

I agree 100%.
The World Cross Country Championships was always unique because you had marathoners to
milers racing together, that was the idea.
Having two races defeats the purpose. I still consider the 12K to be the Championship
and the 4K the kids race.
If you can't run with the big boys,

Bob,
COOL!
While you are down sizing cross country, why not do the same to track.
Only 1 weight event. Heck they all spin now, so as long as they spin and have a weight
they must be the same. Let's not water down the events.
Same with the horizontal jumps. If you can jump once, you can jump 3
Personally, I love the 4k. But I do understand your wish to see everybody
duke it out in one race. Honestly, in the u.S. anyway, I think most of the
athletes do the 12k if they want to be in the more competitive race - thus I
don't see the dilution of competition you're concerned about.

Actually there isn't much more to cross country than one long race on some
bumpy ground,
Ken Stone or anyone else that can help:
Johnny Gray is entered in the 1000-meters tomorrow in Pocatello. One source
says there is no Masters Record for that distance...anyone know differently?

Wait just a cottonpickin' minute there...
In all seriousness, if you want any of your argument to be respected, don't
forget to mention getting rid of the walks.
It would be neat to see marathoners and milers racing, but it doesn't really
happen. Imagine Khannouchi and Gabe tangling at the US
Don't have the start list at hand-
what about Meb and Abdi ?
