Re: [Techno-Chat]: Re: Gogle Chrome

2019-04-21 Thread Joshua Gregory
interesting thing that you mention all of this, because from what I gather,
Microsoft edge is going to move to a Google chrome codebase. should
supposedly make it better, although how, for us screen reader users, I
don't know. Should probably be the same actually. apparently they're doing
this because they're edge ml, or whatever the engine that they were using
to develop edge, wasn't doing as well as they thought it would, so they
just thought it would be best to switch to chrome I guess.

oh, I honestly didn't know that. My mistake. I thought that it was a
Samsung thing completely, but it appears, from what you say, that they
customized yet another thing along with everything else they've done. Not
a bad thing, just interesting. I think the Samsung version does work with
iCloud.

Re: [Techno-Chat]: Installing Windows From The Ground Up

Just a note/thought, you might be able to do it with the use a device
option in recovery mode, which works with the initial creator's
update. As for booting from recovery working, I think it is indeed the
Fall one.

I don't read much but when I do I use Audible. Sure they don't have
everything, but they do have a lot, and while you do have to pay for
the books they're professionally done. I do feel that blindness stuff
is quite expensive, I do get what is said here, but for a lot of folks
mainstream is more affordable and easier for this reason.

remember correctly, if the system volume is adequate and VO is still
low, adjusting the voiceover volume itself may help. Maybe this has
changed since I last used it, but just thought I'd pass it on.

A couple things here,

I've said this before, and you can disagree, but as the population
ages there will be more and more people who may have disabilities.
This is going to create problems in the near future, if things don't
improve especially in the arena of new tech. Also, personally for me,
Windows is alright, although it'd be nice if the recovery environment
were accessible ,but that's a small thing. Current tech as it stands?
At least we can do stuff even if it might be a bit limited and even
that, I feel, is a personal viewpoint. Finally and this is meant with
respect, while it is great that you are able to compile and stuff, not
everyone is, so we're stuck with what we have. And while I do agree
with you to a point about planned obsolescence, it's just the nature
of the world we now live in, things break down, malfunction etc and we
have to keep up, whether we like it or not.

Just my thoughts,

Josh
