1-assured that in /etc/papersize there is written only a4.
2-open /usr/share/ghostscript/8.71/lib/ghostpdf.ppd and erase every line with
inside the word letter.
3-open /etc/cups/ppd/KM-1635.ppd (instead of KM-1635 use the name of the

I had exactly the same problem, just after upgrading from 10.04 to
10.10, and the workaround described in the initial report works for me,
that is modifying file /etc/grub.d/00_header by replacing the if fi

Come on, a *second* delay on a GHz machine is appalling! And the inability to
get that down to an acceptable delay for acceptable human reception, in

1. Last.fm is a UK music site - No flash as far as I can tell.
However unable to play music with Firefox. Can do so with Chromium.

I had the same problem, unable to upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 that
resulted from having previously upgraded KDE. I preformed the suggested
steps:
A alternative (and prefered way) to test is:
$ bzr get lp:~ubuntu-core-dev/update-manager/maverick
$ cd maverick/DistUpgrade
$
Thanks for Lucid-fix. I did immediately test with new 'libc6' and
'upstart' from Lucid-proposed:
1. just new 'libc6' - does not change anything (8 orphaned inodes after
reboot).
2. + new 'upstart' - gives 1 orphaned inode after reboot.
3. new ('libc6' + 'upstart'), 'apt-get install --reinstall

If you don't care about randomness when creating a GPG key, then you
should not be using one. Reducing the entropy used when creating a key
makes it *much* weaker. Are you planning on uploading your signed
packages anywhere?
