The bundled Inkscape versions build fine on these respective Ubuntu versions, this compiler problem was only introduced earlier this year, so is only triggered when building a much newer Inkscape. I agree that pushing new a GCC to Lucid and Maverick is probably not needed or wanted :-) -- You
