I am not sure whether the bug was really fixed. I am using the version
0.2rc3 under Lucid. Whenever I want to toggle the embedded preview, it
results in an error 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'editor' as in
post #5, which is displayed in a popup window.

Just found out that Compiz itself is also not without any problems: When
you do Alt-Tab the icons in the lower right corner of the minimized
windows are sometimes distorted.
Having done one more experiment: Turning off Compiz, Google Earth
becomes somewhat usable again and the glxgears canvas
Is KWin also working with AIXGL? Then it is still likely that 1) is true
(add a reference to KWin, of course).

When I ran aptitude safe-upgrade for my 8.04 installation today, the

Same problem here (amd64). Audio device is nVidia Corporation MCP51
High Definition Audio (rev a2) according to lspci -v.
Once solved the problem by compiling the alsa kernel module from the
alsa source package, but this kernel module has been overwritten by the
latest kernel updates.
As this
I do have the same problem here (Ubuntu 7.04). The nm-applet dies
whenever I don't enter both a user and a group password.

When manually starting Rhythmbox from the console afterwards, nothing
happens, i.e. the program hangs without showing any output.
pkill-ing rhythmbox doesn't help either.
Calling rhythmbox-client however does work.

issue after restarting dbus (/etc/init.d/dbus restart) by example?
